Social Skills Groups

Social Skills Groups

Social skills group focus on teaching children with autism how to make and keep friends, strengthen communication skills, and build upon their foundation play skills. The social skill group also targets a variety of group skills, as well as facilitate conflict resolution between peers and friends. Our therapists encourage positive interactions and social skills through a variety of sensory enriched activities and discussions on a daily basis. These skills are taught and monitored using the core principles of ABA and overseen by an onsite BCBA.

Social Skill groups are appropriate for school age children who do not exhibit dangerous or disruptive behaviors. Children must be able to communicate their wants and needs and be ready to build on their conversational skills as well as to participate in small group activities

Social Skill Groups are currently offered at our Acushnet and Fall River Center. These after school sessions are offered Monday to Friday 4:00-5:30 and Saturday 9:30—12:00. These ABA services are 100% covered by Mass health or private health insurance. Click here to register or all the Center @ 508-997-1311 for more information.
