Donna Newton CDA

Registered Behavior Technician and Outreach Manager

Donna is one of our full time Direct Therapists. She has been a Middleboro resident for the past 37 years and has worked in the Public School system. The past 13 years she was specifically dedicated to working within the severe special needs classroom with disabilities ranging from autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairments, social/ emotional problems and behavioral issues.

In 2010 she started providing home services which consisted of ABA therapy, discrete trials and parent training within her home town then branching out into surrounding communities. She has had the excitement of working with many diverse families. Working within the families homes is where she became driven in her career. The opportunity to support, educate, and provide parent training to those who are facing the day to day challenges of Autism is what led her to join The South Coast Autism Center.

She received her ABA training from Sinead Petersen Ph.D., BCBA-D., LMHC founder and Executive Director of The South Coast Autism Center. She has had direct supervision alongside of her and has had the honor of working at the Center while gaining the credential of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

She is First Aid certified; Crisis Prevention Intervention certified (CPI) and she has an Associates in Childhood Development.

She enjoys sewing, bird watching and sitting on the beach with her two daughters. She feels blessed to have a large family and wonderful friends.

Testimonial from a grateful grandparent

I want to thank you for all you have done. You have taught both Kristen and Keira so much and have made this confusing world of autism make more sense. You took care of my daughter and have become her friend. You can say it's your job but it is more than that. So much more. You are an angel. I wish I could pack you up and send you to Korrie. I pray she finds a Donna....
